How to Reach Kanha National Park from Mumbai
By Air
The quickest way to reach Kanha from Mumbai is by air. You can take a direct flight from Mumbai to Jabalpur (160 km), Raipur (250 km), or Nagpur (300 km) the nearest airports to the park. From any of these cities, private cabs and taxis are easily available for a comfortable 4 – 6 hour drive to Kanha.
By Train
You can take a train from Mumbai to Gondia Junction (145 km) or Jabalpur (160 km). Both stations are well connected to Kanha by road. Taxis and private vehicles are available from the railway stations to reach the park in about 4 – 5 hours.
By Road
Kanha National Park is around 1,000 – 1,100 km from Mumbai. The drive takes about 18 – 20 hours, passing through Nashik – Nagpur – Seoni – Kanha or Pune – Nagpur – Balaghat – Kanha routes. While it’s a long journey, the road conditions are fairly good, and scenic stretches make it enjoyable for road trip enthusiasts.
